skuf's journal made me remember that the same debate has sprung up in the Whedonverse from time to time. When I commented to that effect, s/he asked what the consensus was, and I said, "Duhhhhh, mmmmm, uhhhh... I dunno."
And then I said I would ask around. So, what's your estimation? (Wording borrowed directly fromskuf's poll.)
